Di Chinatown, Singapura, banyak orang-orang Tionghoa yang masih ‘totok’ alias masih memegang teguh tradisi, terutama kalangan tuanya, sering membakar uang kertas dan memberikan sesajen di altar kecil di pinggir jalan untuk menyembahyangi leluhur. (kenapa di pinggir jalan, aku juga nggak tau)
Berhati-hatilah agar kamu jangan sampai menginjak, menendang, ataupun menyentuh altar tersebut baik sengaja maupun tidak, karena roh leluhur bisa saja naik pitam dan mengejar kamu!
Pernah terjadi, seorang wanita tak sengaja menendang altar leluhur di pinggir jalan. Karena marah, sang roh leluhur mengejar si wanita, dan si wanita bisa melihatnya. Karena ketakutan cewek ini berlari sambil teriak-teriak histeris.
Eh, melihat itu, si roh kemudian merasuki seseorang yang ditabrak cewek itu di jalan! Untunglah si cowok yang kerasukan diserempet motor sampai terpental dan pingsan. Kalau tidak, mungkin cewek ini sudah jadi bubur daging dan si cowok yang sial abis sudah meringkuk di penjara
Kata korban kerasukannya sih, selama kerasukan dia sadar dirinya, nggak hilang akal seperti lazimnya kerasukan di negeri kita. Tapi tiba-tiba saja si cowok merasa kemarahan yang amat sangat sampai dia ingin mengoyak tubuh cewek itu dan mengeluarkan isi otaknya sehingga tanpa pikir panjang dia langsung mengejar cewek itu.
